A Lifelong Passion
My journey in respite work began when I was 18 years old, teaching teens and adults with disabilities how to ski and gain confidence on the slopes. Witnessing their independence grow, their excitement build, and their belief in themselves take shape was unlike anything I had ever experienced. That early work ignited something meaningful in me — and I have never found another career path that matched the purpose, fulfillment, and genuine reward that respite work brings.
Experience and Dedication
Since then, my experience has grown across multiple settings, supporting individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of what quality respite truly means: safety, dignity, comfort, trust, and experiences that empower people to thrive. My professional certifications reflect this commitment, including CPR Level C, crisis prevention, mental health support, autism training, behavioural management, and extensive experience working with individuals with special needs, disabilities, and working with seniors.
